Motocross, The Most Physically Demanding Sport In The World

Many people think that motocross is one of the easiest sports in the world. Half of them don't even consider it a sport. For the longest time in the world, soccer was rated the most physically demanding sport just until a year ago when motocross passed it up. People who have never rode dirt bikes think all you do is sit on it and turn the gas.

Motocross is the most heart wrenching, adrenaline flowing body crushing sport in the world. Your heart rate stay's between 170-200 beats per minute for up to a time of 35-40 minutes constant. In hockey, football, soccer any other sport you go out for shifts, you have whistles and breaks. Motocross is a non stop sport for 40 minutes using every single muscle in your body.

It takes every muscle in your body to do this. There is no other sport or training that you can do to recreate what it takes to ride motocross for 40 minutes. There are workout and training devices that can help but nothing compares to racing. The demand your body goes through from riding is like no other sport, and you will not be walking the next day. You physically push your body to the limits as one of my good buddies did in a race and fried the organs inside his body and had a heat stroke and passed away.

Motocross or UFC?

Motocross racing can be an aggressive sport. It gets your blood rushing, adrenaline flowing which makes you not always use your common sense. Many riders have taken other riders out causing the frustration to cause fights on the track. This past weekend, a racer took out another racer causing both of them to crash causing a UFC fight match in the middle of the track!

Was it the right thing to do? That is your call. How much crap do you take before you fight back and try and do something about it? It is hard to find that fine line and as a professional athlete you have to be on your best behavior for the fans. However, it drew more publicity to the sport than it has had in a very long time which a good thing. It is also very dangerous sport so causing someone to crash could end their career potentially so are you going to just let someone do that to you? I love the sport and think that the more contact the better but the officials don’t agree.

I think there is nothing better to watch than two motocrossers going at it in the middle of the track! I have personally had a couple instances of this happening and know how short tempered you get when someone is trying to hurt you. Fans love it though!
